Rules

All Servers on this Cluster are governed by this Limited PVP Ruleset.

The Goal:

To provide a relative safety net within the construct of a Limited Rule Set, without overly restricting the Player versus Player aspects of Ark as envisioned by the developers.

Streamlined set of Rules to help you understand what you should and should not do.

A friendly warning:  If your philosophy is "Ark is a PVP game with no rules, I'll do what I want."  You would be right if you played on Officials.  But you're here, so you're wrong.  And if you continue being wrong, I will actively encourage the more developed tribes to commit wanton acts of Ark genocide and other atrocities, and otherwise make your time spent here miserable.  They're bored and easily excitable when the Admin asks them to perform special favors.

Other than that, enjoy your time here.  :)

What does "Limited PVP" mean?

It means that if you are Raiding and PVPing, you will follow these Rules:
(1)  No killing passives.  Accidents happen.  If you genuinely didn't mean to kill a Passive, figure out a way to make amends.
(2)  No Insiding.
(3)  No raiding a single target in short succession.  There will now be a minimum 5-days before a tribe can be attacked again.
(4)  No wiping.  Leave the base as intact as you can.  C4 and explosives and dinos with wide bites do a lot of damage.  Minimize your impact.

If you're having trouble still grasping the philosophy here, these Guidelines are for you:
(1)  You should raid within your relative progression level.
i.e. If you're in Metal, you shouldn't be raiding thatch beach bobs.
(2)  You should refrain from destroying unlocked crafting stations unnecessarily.
(3)  You should refrain from "popcorning" an offline tribe's loot.  Take what you want, leave something for your victim to rebuild.

Enforcement:

These new Rules will largely be self-governed.  Meaning that as a player, you are a part of the community.  If you choose to go it alone, don't expect anyone to come to your aid.  Cultivate opportunities to associate with your neighbors, determine who is trustworthy and enter into an Alliance.  Defend each other.

My expectation as an Admin is to have a modicum of restraint on the part of the more advanced tribes towards their lesser developed neighbors.  If you feel that a Rule has been broken, please notify a Moderator, Deputy or myself in Discord (preferably in that order).  Moderators and Deputies have been chosen on the basis that they have shown discipline and restraint in the past in exercising personal judgment in maintaining the community's stability.  If your complaint is with regard to a Moderator or Deputy, please come straight to me.

Personal Conduct:

I don't care for excessive profanity, vulgarity and racism/xenophobia.  If your name (Character, Steam, Epic, otherwise) is on the border, don't be surprised if I boot you or change your name.  Ask yourself whether or not you think that your speech/conduct violates a PG-13 rating.

  1. ^ Respect. For, well, all of it lmao. Eloquently put and probably the only page-long set of rules I've ever thoroughly read. Definitely how I would envision/cast a 'large-scale-esq' Ark server, if I ever did. Discord: Zarse1007#8485

P.S. I'm New 2 Ark and it'll for sure show lmao <80 Hours Invested D:
